Linda Knighten had a vision to bring a performing arts festival to her city of Newport, Oregon. In 2022, the Newport Song Festival took place with twenty attendees and one teacher, Stephanie Lynne Smith. In 2023, the nonprofit Newport Performing Arts Festival was founded by Linda, Lisa Benson, and Stephanie. Courtney Freed was added as an instructor, two days and a faculty concert were added to the schedule, and thirty-five attendees gathered for a wonderful experience.
The board of NPAF has a long-range vision for the festival and hopes to continue expanding the offerings. With your help, we can make this a reality! This fundraising concert is a demonstration of Linda's resilience and strength.
